Paramahansa Satyananda culminated a lifetime of intense yoga practice by taking personal responsibility for every villager in his vicinity. He showed us that one person can make a profound difference in the lives of many. YANA encourages the Satyananda Yoga community to reach out to serve those in need. The YANA Seva Initiative will help you do just that. Contact us to learn how to apply now.
Wellness Web, Isha Institute Nepal
Holistic Trauma Care Project
In the aftermath of the 2015 earthquakes that struck Nepal, the Isha family was called in to support its local community and various organizations in holistic trauma care. We began, in the immediate aftermath, to offer psychological first aid and body-based self regulation and relaxation classes to groups and individuals in need.
As of February 2016, Isha, with the help of its partners in Nepal and abroad, began organizing and implementing holistic trauma workshops and holistic counseling services. These were offered in the earthquake-hit areas of Nepal and in other communities that deal directly with trauma. Participants include educators, community leaders, local health care personnel, the Nepal police, government employees for the ministry of women and children and psychosocial counselors.
Would you like to participate?

Himalayan Villages Education and Development Program
The Himalayan Villages Education and Development Program is a vision by Swamy Dharmanand (Babaji), aimed at providing education through high school level to every child in the Uttarakhand state located in the lower Himalayas.
Swamy Dharmanand, fondly known as Babaji, first moved to Pindari in 1990. Since then, Babaji has lived in a stark stone hut nestled in a serene valley between snow capped mountains and has dedicated his life to meditation. Babaji is also involved in studying the environment and helps protect and foster the surrounding forest and wildlife. In addition, he supports research in glaciers with his vast know-how gained from living at the Pindari glacier. Babaji is actively involved in social work in the nearby villages, and is a big part of these communities’ everyday lives. Himved, conceptualized in 2010, by Babaji, is close to his heart as it is aimed at providing basic education to children.
This is where the trail ends and the journey begins because it was here that ZeroPoint Embodiment was envisioned as a gathering space for community connections and exchange of ideas.
