The Art of Relaxation

The Art of Relaxation emerges from the expression of creative skill, awareness and imagination. It is a state of ease experienced as you allow yourself to be free from tension and anxiety so you can become your more naturally embodied Self.

The Art of Relaxation practices can help you access a more efficient and effective form of deep rest and rejuvenation. Some say a single hour of deep rest is as beneficial as four hours of conventional sleep without awareness.

This kind of ease is that state of Being that’s experienced between sleeping and waking. Some call it liminal space, some shoonya or the void, stillpoint or zeropoint. There are many names for it. It is where our holism and healing potential can be accessed.

Like a mythological phoenix, it’s often reported after a session there is a feeling of being born anew.

These sessions have the potential to help the client access their own holism and healing potential.

There is no noise in the world, there is no peace in the Himalayas. Both are within you.
– Swami Satyananda

Restorative Rest Session

Cranial Sacral Session

Cranial Sacral Session is an hour-long gentle session similar to the Restorative Rest Session, however, you will receive a full hour of hands on cranial sacral techniques appropriate to you.

The craniosacral system includes the brain, the cerebrospinal fluid, the system of membranes inside the cranium, all 22 cranial bones, the spine and the sacrum.

One possible benefit of this session is relieving the symptoms associated with compression in the head, neck, and back. This session can also soothe pain and release both emotional and physical stress and tension. Cranial Sacral Session is thought to help restore cranial mobility and ease or release restrictions of the head, neck, and nerves.

Restorative Rest

Restorative Rest is a gentle hour long session using hands on cranial sacral techniques, awareness and breath to help you feel more balanced, restored and at home in your body.

The keystone of this practice is the gentle stillpoint technique used to help shift the central nervous system from its usual state of alertness to one of calmness. Recipients report the experience of a feeling of deep peace pervading the body during the sessions and a new sense of wellness that continues long after the session is complete.

During this session, you will experience 30 minutes of cranial techniques on the feet, hands, head and sacrum, a 10 minute stillpoint hold under the occiput and the remaining time will be deep uninterrupted rest and nervous system regulation.

Rates for Sessions (1 hour)
Cranial Sacral Restorative    $125
ZeroPoint Restorative Rest   $75

“Dr. Still envisioned the cerebral spinal fluid as an intermediary in the movement of Divine intelligence, a channeling of creation into embryological segments and irrigating them with life, giving form and function and order and intelligence to our existence.”
